Small camera batteries are perfect for handheld and gimbal work, but once you add a monitor, wireless video and a follow focus the draw climbs quickly.
Rule of thumb
- Body only: native batteries, three to four per camera
- Body + monitor: one 150Wh V-mount lasts roughly a half-day
- Full cinema build: four V-mounts and a simultaneous charger per camera
Don’t forget the accessories
Monitors, wireless transmitters and LED panels can all run from D-tap. Bring a spare D-tap cable — it is the one thing that always goes missing.
